Mission Statement

The purpose of the James M. Doss Sr. Charitable Foundation is to provide funds through a direct grant or a matching grant to charitable organizations, including but not limited to Catholic faith-based organizations, college athletics programs, and children’s health and human services agencies.

Criteria

The Foundation shall benefit certain recognized charitable organizations that provide services and are organizations that are described in Code Section 170(b)(1)(A), 501(c)(3), and 2055(a) of the Internal Revenue Code.  The Foundation gives priority to programs and projects that have clearly defined outcomes and an evaluation process.

Guidelines, Geographic Focus, and Priorities

The James M. Doss Sr. Charitable Foundation provides grants to non-profit Catholic faith-based organizations, college athletics programs, and children’s health and human services agencies. If a qualifying organization experiences a special need outside the grant or application cycle, consideration may be given to address the need.  Grants to organizations other than those identified shall be awarded only in the west coast area of Florida or western North Carolina.
